Ethan is growing up!!!

Ethan was 5 weeks old when I posted the last entry.  And now he is 14 weeks old.  I can't believe how fast time has passed and how lazy I've been with updating Xanga.  Everyday has been a blessing from God to just see our baby growing in front of our eyes.  I never knew this small person would bring so much joy and happiness to both Tony and me.  As he is growing up so much so fast, we are realizing that we can not raise him on our own strength but we need God to give us wisdom, patience and faith in Him to raise Ethan to be a godly person.  We are humbled and thankful that God chose us to be Ethan's parents.

Anyway, now he is smiling, giggling, turning from tummy to side, talks a lot and moves his arms with more control.  It is funny to see ourselves getting so excited over little things he does.  Our hearts just melt when he smiles and talks(or make noise) to us.

Here are some pictures of Ethan.

<Week 7>  I like this hat on him.  It was too big when I took this picture but now it fits good.

<Week 10>  As we were reading him bible before his bed time, he was listening with such serious look.
Yes Ethan, You are a sinner but God loves you.

<Week 11>  Ethan's first Reformation Night.  He had an Owl Hat but no one could guess what he was.
Well, he looked like one FINE owl to me!

<Week 12>  Now he is doing much better with Tummy Time.  It is still not his favorite thing.  When we cheer him up, he actually keeps his head up pretty high for a while.  And yes, he is losing hair.  Poor boy....he has bold spot on both side of his head since he sleeps on his side.  Hopefully new hair will grow thicker and fuller soon.  And some eye brows too, please.

<Week 13>  Thanks to Bumbo.  Now he can sit on his own.

<Week 14>  We had Ethan's 100th Day celebration last Sat.  We are thankful to God for watching over our baby Ethan for past 100 days, and we are thankful in knowing and trusting that God will show His faithfulness in rest of Ethan's life.

We pray that Ethan will grow up to be a happy and joyful person because of his life in Christ.
We pray that Ethan will bring happiness and joy to other people because of his love for Christ.
But most of all, we pray that Ethan will glorify God and enjoy Him forever because that's why God created him.

hmmm..... "No Title"

(Wow...I just found out how to add color and border on the entry.  this is COOL~)

(I just spent 5 minutes to come up with a title for this entry...but can't think of anything.  I am not a creative writer.  sorry)

Anyway, I have some more pictures of Ethan.

We are having so much fun with Ethan....taking pictures trying to capture every precious moment with him.  After almost 6 weeks, it still amazes us that he is our baby.

(We've been going out everyday since it is much easier to take him out for couple of hour than to stay home all day.  He already likes going out.  He is really good in his car seat and loves car ride.  He cries when the car stops too long at the red light.  His favorite radio staion is FM 91.1, Jazz .  And so far, his favorite store is Target and the second favorite is Costco.)

(On Tony's birthday, some friends came over with yummy cake and gifts.)

His new friend, George.
"AWKWARD......Okay buddy, that's little too close"

Ethan...........................................too cute.

Ahhhhhh~~~~ Stop taking pictures.  Enough already!!!!

Life with Ethan

It is 5:09AM....yes, AM, right now and both my boys are sleeping.  I came down to wash the bottle and get something to eat.  It is so peaceful and all I can hear is myself typing and the refrigerator running.

So it's been 5 weeks and 2 days since Ethan came into our lives.  He has been such joy and blessing to both Tony and me.  Every time I look at him, I can not help but to thank God and praise Him for giving us a wonderful gift in him.  Well..I have passed the "nonsense emotional stage" so I don't cry any more when praying.

And it is amazing how God teach us and guide us everyday to raise him.  I must say that I wasn't really ready before Ethan was born to raise a baby.  I never finished reading "Babywise" or any other baby book.  We didn't go to the infant care class or infant CPR class.  But we prayed that God would help us and give us wisdom and guidance, and our good God answered our prayer.  For past 5 weeks we were able to do everything needed to raise a baby...and Ethan is growing healthy and strong.  (good thing he can not speak to complain yet, and hopefully by the time he can speak, he will forget about mistakes we made).  Every day I am experiencing God's provision and answering of my prayer.  The other day, I even prayed that Ethan will go poo-poo (he hadn't gone for over 36 hrs at that time), and within an hour, he went....and it was BEAUTIFUL.  So beautiful that I had to take a picture of it, but I won't post it here. hehehe.

Anyways, our Life with Ethan has been wonderful and joyful, and most importantly, it's been an experience to see God's love and His faithfulness.

Well, I haven't downloaded recent pictures yet.  I will post more pictures soon.

I gotta go back to bed and get some more sleep before he wakes up for the next feeding.  Good night everyone....or Good morning!

4 weeks update

I can not believe it's been 4 weeks already since Ethan was born.  He is growing up so fast, very healthy and cute.  It's been really nothing but joy being Ethan's parents.  We thank God for bringing Ethan into our life and allowing us to raise him.

Now he is sleeping longer at night.  He is eating well and also taking care of business (both #1 and #2) very well too.  He makes eye contact and seems like he looks deep into you trying to say something....like "GOT MILK?"

so... you Got Milk?

Tony is really good with him.  He takes such good care of both me and Ethan.  Ethan is already a daddy's boy, I could tell because he is sleeping most of the day when he is alone with me but when Tony comes home, he is wide awake.  I do everything for him during the day but he doesn't know cuz he is sleeping.  He better RECOGNIZE!!!.  hahaha

Here are some more pictures of him.  I must say he is quite cute.  (okay, okay...I know I am his mother).

Ethan doesn't really like the swing.  Can't you tell?

He is not so much into tummy time either.

But sure likes to sleep

Sleep with mommy

Sleep with daddy

and then sleep some more.

Posing with his best buddy.

"I love you, man"
